Thomas E. Blake, 73, of Londonderry, NH died May 5, 2007 at the Laurel Center in Bedford, NH following an extended illness. He was born in Somerville, Ma the son of William and Mildred (Drew) Croke. He attended Somerville High School and went on to enlist in the Marine Corps. He served on active duty for four years and separated with an honorable discharge as a Marine Sargeant. He married his childhood sweetheart, Diana M. (Fowler) Blake and settled in Reading, MA. He completed an apprenticeship in printing and became a Journeyman for Carr Composition where he received the Charles M. Lyon Memorial Award. He completed courses in electronics and was employed by BLH Electronics of Waltham and Canton, MA, where he remained an electrical technician for 23 years. In 1978 he moved with his family to Londonderry, NH and in 1987 became an employee of Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH. Mr. Blake was also a musician. He sang, played guitar and harmonica. He loved to listen and dance to Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and big bands. He is survived by his wife Diana of 48 years, 4 children, Diana Blake Foley of Hooksett, NH Linda Chisholm of Londonderry, NH Thomas Blake of Merrimack, NH and Steven Blake of Londonderry, NH; 3 siblings, Ruth (Croke) Fyfe, Dorothy (Croke) Cirome and William Croke and 7 grandchildren. A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday May 12th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM with his Service at 2:00PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester.
