Thomas Knowles Brydson, 93, of 200 Alliance Way, Manchester, NH, died at his residence on January 7, 2006. He was born in Jamaica Plain, MA on September 3, 1912, the son of John and Elizabeth Brydson. He had resided in Weymouth, MA for most of his life prior to moving to Mission Viejo, California and then to Manchester, New Hampshire several years ago. He had been married to Dorothy Brydson and had a daughter Diane Manning of San Diego, a granddaughter, Meredith Manning Youel and a great granddaughter Alexander Manning Youel. He was one of the founders of Electro Switch Corporation of Weymouth, MA and joined the company as Vice President a member of the Board of Directors in 1946. He served in a number of capacities during his career with the company including President. He retired from the company in 1980 but remained active on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors until 1985. In addition to Electro Switch, he was a well know and active in the business community of Weymouth, MA and the South Shore. He served as a Board member for a number of local companies. In His Life: Family members include a daughter Diane Manning of San Diego; a granddaughter, Meredith Manning Youel and a great granddaughter, Alexander Manning Youel; a niece, Janet R. Ryder of Amherst, NH and a nephew, Glenn A. Stirling of Billerica, MA; two grandnieces and several cousins in the US and Scotland. A memorial service will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Saturday evening at 7:00 PM. Internment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
