Thomas
Clapp
Oct 1, 1948 — Jun 19, 2026
Thomas Clapp, age 77, of Goffstown and New Boston, NH, passed away on June 19, 2026, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a courageous fight with Front Temporal Dementia.
Born and raised in Goffstown, NH, Tom was a proud alumnus of Goffstown High School, graduating in 1966. Following his education, he served his country as a medic in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Upon his return, Tom dedicated many years to working as a mechanic and manager at Goffstown Truck Center. Additionally he worked for John Neville Excavating and Knoxland Farm Equipment.
He lovingly helped cared for his mother, Mary Clapp and managed their family farm, now celebrated as a pick-you-own strawberry farm in Goffstown.
Tom was a man that cherished the outdoors, finding great joy in motorcycling, bow hunting, and shooting sports. His life long love of skiing took him to every destination across New England and beyond, including memorable trips to Lake Tahoe in California and Vail, Colorado.
Tom was always hard working, affable, and a proud part of the community he was born, worked and lived in.
He leaves behind his partner and wife, Cheryl Clapp of New Boston, NH; her children Colette Tyler, Karin Raymond, and Tim Rider; his son Ben Clapp(Lisa Clapp) and daughter Heidi Temple(Scott Temple) from his first marriage; his Brother William Clapp(Barbara Clapp), sister Sarah King, and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
His family would like to thank the many nurses and personnel of Hillsborough County Nursing Home for their respectful care of Tom.
Tom's services will be held at a later date.
