Thomas Scott Clark, 66, of Lincoln, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Thomas was born on March 19, 1959, in Littleton, New Hampshire, the son of Edward Murray Clark and Joyce Mavis (Avery) Clark. Thomas married his high school sweetheart, Diane Anita (Pitre) Clark, on May 12, 1979, in Lincoln, New Hampshire.
Thomas attended Lin-Wood Public School. In 1977, he started Goodrich Falls Hydroelectric Company with his father, Edward, and Edward “Ted” Larter, and in 1979, he started the White Mountain Hydroelectric Corporation with his father, Edward, and his brother-in-law, Peter Govoni. Additionally, Thomas spent his youth working at his family businesses, Clark’s Trading Post and the White Mountain Central Railroad.
Thomas especially loved spending time with his immediate and extended family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his family across the country; researching, collecting, and restoring antiques; building generators; and helping his children with home improvement projects.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Diane; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Darlena Clark and their sons, Brayden and Casey Clark; daughter, Susan Clark; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kate Clark and their sons, Jude and River Clark; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Clark and Rajesh Srinivasan; and daughter and son-in-law, Jodie Clark and Philippe Paupe and their son, Cedric Paupe. Thomas is also survived by his sister-in-law, Elise Clark; his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Peter Govoni; his sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Frederick Englert; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding Thomas in death are his parents, Edward and Joyce; brother Edward Avery Clark; and brother David Avery Clark.
A public graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, at Riverside Cemetery in Lincoln, New Hampshire, and will be followed by a reception at Clark’s Trading Post in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Arrangements are entrusted to Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium.
