Thomas Tom Greaney

Thomas "Tom" F. Greaney, 88, of Bedford, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on August 6, 2019. He was born on March 25, 1931 in Amesbury, MA to the late Irene (Bowley) Allard and Thomas Greaney, Sr.

In 1962, he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army for 21 years. Tom served 2 stints in Vietnam as well as 2 tours in Europe, Panama, and Rio. He later worked in car leasing in San Mateo, CA for 18 years prior to retirement.

In his spare time, Tom enjoyed camping, fishing, and was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Fay (Pratt) Greaney of Bedford; sons Robert McGlew and his wife Lolet of the Phillipines, and Barry McGlew and his wife Michelle of Bedford; grandchildren Michael, Brian, JR, Ian, Alexis, Molly, and Sam; one great grandchild Audry; 4 brothers, 4 sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A committal service with military honors will be held on Friday August 16th at 11 am at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery located at 110 Daniel Webster Hwy. Boscawen, NH.
