Thomas "Tom" Henry Matthews, age 69, died on Monday, March 30, 2020 at Bedford Hills Center in Bedford, NH.
He was born on December 20, 1950, in Troy, NY the son of the late William D. and Loretta M. (Lenway) Matthews.
He grew up Saint Colman's home from 2 – 8 years old and went to Rome State School where he stayed until he was 18. He resided in Albany, NY where he met and married his wife, Daphne McKee on December 31, 1971. He lived in Troy, NY for a few years.
His hobbies and interests were bowling, roller skating and spending time with his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Matthews moved to Orono, ME where he lived over 30+ years with his wife Daphne (McKee) Matthews. She passed away on April 29, 2007. He loved building things and was pretty much a carpenter of his own. He enjoyed collecting movies and most of all riding his bike everywhere. He had lots of friends in his community and was well known and a good friend. He was always willing to help others.
Members of his family include; his brothers and sisters, Mary, Billy, Kathy, Margret, Jackie, Arnold, Ronald, Lorna, Florence, Raymond, Ronnie, and so many nieces and nephews.
