Thomas Repeta

THOMAS REPETA, JR. Thomas Repeta, Jr., 81, of Venice, FL and previously of Bedford, NH, died April 26, 2006. Mr. Repeta was born on July 21, 1924, in Irvington, NJ, the son of the late Thomas and Agnes (Hood) Repeta, Sr. He was a resident of Venice for the past 2 years coming from Bedford, NH. He was a veteran having served in the United States Navy as a signalman during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Repeta was employed as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service in Rutland, Vermont, where the Repeta family lived for many years. Family members include; his wife of 60 years, Vera M. (Rickershauser) Repeta, of Venice, FL; 7 children, Patricia Brown, of Amherst, NH; Thomas Repeta, III, of Portland, ME; Wayne Repeta of Bedford, NH; Daniel Repeta of Falmouth, MA; Nancy Lasky of Lower Gwynedd, PA; Joann Repeta of Bedford, NH; Sandra Fahsel of Powder Springs, GA; 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 sister, Lorraine Squires of Westfield, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A memorial and candlelight service will be Friday, May 5 1 P.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. Burial will follow in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen, NH. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to Special Olympics NH, 650 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03101, in memory of Mr. Repeta.
