Thomas Joseph Sell, 52, of Auburn, NH passed away suddenly on April 23, 2022 after a long history of illness. Tom was born on May 18, 1969 in Derry, NH to Sandra Lemieux and Forrest Sell Jr.
Thomas lived his whole life in Auburn and loved being close to his family, whom he cared for so deeply. Family was everything to Tom, and he was always happiest when near the ones he loved most. When he wasn’t sick, Tom loved his work as a stonemason, as he had a natural skill and intuitiveness with stone. He built many beautiful walls, patios, and fixtures, and would often say “if you listen, the rocks will talk to you.”
Those who had the privilege of knowing Tom will remember a loving, strong willed, and loyal person who would do anything for his family and took advantage of every moment he had on earth. He loved anything that involved working with his hands, whether he was working stone, woodburning or simply putting something together, he was always keeping busy. He also loved the outdoors, especially when he was fishing, camping, or skydiving, a hobby that he particularly loved. He was an active boardmember of the Deerhead Sportsman Club, where he had many friends.
Tom was also a true Irishman who loved St. Patrick’d Day to his core. Memories of him eating mountains of corned beef and cabbage at the family gatherings will not be soon forgotten. Above all else, Tom loved his family immensely, and will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
Tom is predeceased by his brothers Joseph Sell and Tiger. He is survived by his daughter Sonya Ragland; son Joshua Tirban Sell; mother Sandra “Ma” Lemieux; father Forrest “Sonny” Sell; grandchildren Collin, Mason, Owen and Lexi Trumble; brother Forrest “Jim” Sell; sister Crickett Rowell; as well as many aunts, uncles, 12 nieces & nephews, 12 grand nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Thursday, April 28th from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH.
Donations in his memory can be made to the Easter Seals of New Hampshire.
