Thomas J. Thomas, Jr., 53, of Bedford, passed away at his residence on Sunday April 26th, 2009. In His Life: He was born in Spokane, WA on September 20, 1955, the son of Thomas J. and Betty (Bland) Thomas, Sr., and had been a Manchester area resident since 1971. He was a 1978 graduate of Plymouth State College and went on to earn a law degree in 1982 from Franklin Pierce Law School. While in law school, he worked as an intern for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Concord. After graduating from law school, he worked for and later became a partner with the law firm of Thomas, Utel, Vandewater and Raiche, PC. He then went on to work at Thomas and Pellenz law firm until he went into private practice at his own firm, Thomas and Associates. He was involved with the delegation for National Homeland Security between the United States and Russia and attended many conferences in Washington DC and Russia. He also owned and operated Monster Ford Performance Products.com. Previous to that, he founded Thomas Marine Supply Company. A lifelong boating enthusiast, he spent his summers boating with his family. Earlier in his life, he had water skied competitively. He was also an avid snow skier and had worked as a ski patrolman at Tenney Mountain while in college. Tom has also been an EMT and was a volunteer fireman with the Plymouth Fire Department. His passion was Mustang's and he loved to drive his Rousch Mustang around town. Family members include his parents of Trinity, FL; a son, Thomas J. "TJ" Thomas, III of Goffstown; three daughters, Lynn Morin and her husband Shawn of New Boston, Jennifer Williams and her husband Eric of Manchester and Kelly Thomas of Goffstown; five grandchildren; Quinn, Austin and Avery Morin, and Cohen and Blake Williams; two brothers; Gregory Thomas and his wife Joanne; and Scott Thomas and his wife Marcia all of Manchester; four nephews, one nieces; uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Bryson and Lillian A memorial gathering will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. A memorial service will take place on Thursday morning at 10:00 in the funeral home chapel. Committal services will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
