LOUDON – Thomas Alan Young, 66, of Williamston, NC, passed away February 7, 2024, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a five-month courageous battle with metastatic colon cancer.
Tom was born in Goffstown on April 7, 1957, and was a son of Kenneth E. and Betty L. (Kenney) Young. He grew up in Manchester and Londonderry and graduated from Pinkerton Academy with the class of 1975.
In addition to his parents, Tom leaves behind his son, Marshall and wife, Melissa, granddaughter, Olivia of Loudon; partner of 25 years, Sandra Morgan; step children, Annie Morgan of WI, Ian Morgan of NC, Emily Morgan of SC, and Chelsea (Morgan) Fortescue of AL; brother, Andrew and wife Claudette of Freeman Township, ME; sisters Sandra and husband Ken Fongeallaz of Londonderry, Debra and husband Glen Bolser of Bedford; along with many step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brother Michael.
Tom turned his love of woodworking into a 40-year endeavor working alongside his brother Andrew and nephew Jason in the family cabinet business. Tom was a lifelong musician, playing drums in numerous bands with friends and family. He was an avid golfer, reader and enjoyed training for his pilot’s license. He also had a passion for motorcycles and classic cars. Tom will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 5 to 7pm, at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH 03104. Mass will be held Friday, February 23, 2024, at 10:00am at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH 03053. A private burial will be held at a later date.
