Timothy R. Phelps (1948-2011)
LITCHFIELD - Timothy R. Phelps, 63, died April 27, 2011, after a courageous battle against cancer.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1948, in Minneola, N.Y., to Robert and Susan ( O'Connell) Phelps. He attended Holy Cross High School in Fushing Queens, N.Y., class of 1966, and St. John's University in Jamaica,
N.Y. After graduating college in 1971, he and his wife, Enid, moved to Manchester. He spent 27 years as a maintenance mechanic at Hermsdorf Plastics and then began working at Solo Industries in 1998.
Family includes his high school sweetheart and wife of 41 years, Enid (Malchow) Phelps.
IN HIS LIFE: Other family members include a son, Adam Phelps and his significant other, Anne Frechette of Hooksett; a daughter, Elizabeth and her husband Matt Kirby of Pembroke; a daughter, Cathryn and her husband Joseph Lajewski of Hooksett; four grandchildren, Ryan Phelps, George and William Chabot, and Ethan Lajewski; niece, Laurie Berger; nephew, David Berger; sister-in-law, Kathy Malchow of Rochester, N.Y.; and brother-in-law, Bill Malchow and his wife Patty of Wantaugh, Long Island.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering is 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., in Manchester. Cemetery committal is Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Goffstown Road, in Manchester.
