Trina Marie Champagne-Belmontez, 59, of New Boston, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023. She is the loving wife of Korry Belmontez with whom she has shared over 33 years of marriage.
Trina was born on March 8, 1964 to Carol (Taylor) Champagne and the late Gerard J. Champagne in Anaheim, California. She spent most of her life living in Southern California until moving to New Hampshire in 2019.
Trina was a gifted scholar and a passionate learner. Her thirst for knowledge led her to achieve not just one, but three Master's degrees during her teaching career. Through her academic journey, she proved to be a role model for perseverance and dedication, an example that inspired her students and family alike. Beyond her academic pursuits, Trina had an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel, discovering new cultures, cuisines, and experiences, and always indulged in a visit to Disneyland where they would often go as a family during her daughter’s childhood. But nothing brought more joy to Trina than watching her daughter play volleyball. As an athletic person herself, retiring from competitive Division 1 gymnastics, she was the most enthusiastic supporter on the sidelines, always beaming with pride. Her unwavering encouragement was a testament to the boundless love she had for her family.
Along with her husband Korry, Trina leaves behind her cherished daughter Caroline Belmontez of New Boston; her mother, Carol Champagne; brother David Champagne; sister Michelle Champagne; in-laws, Linda and Albert Belmontez; and her beloved Maltipoo, Tinkerbell. She is predeceased by her father Gerard J. Champagne.
A graveside service will be held at Cemetery Road Cemetery in New Boston, the place where she loved to go for walks with her family, on Wednesday, August 2nd at 3:00pm. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
