Urgel P. Fournier, 78, of 29 Crescent Lane, died December 2, 2002 at his residence. He was born in Manchester on August 29, 1924, the son of Paul Emile and Blanche (Isabelle) Fournier and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He had worked for New England Telephone for 27 years as a stockman in the supply department until his retirement in 1979. He was a World War II Army Veteran, a member of American Legion Post 79, Catholic War Veterans Ste. Marie Post and the New Hampshire Veterans Association. He belonged to the Telephone Pioneers, AARP, ACA and was a member of the Police Auxillary. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church. He was the widower of Gabrielle (Janelle) Fournier who died earlier this year. He was also predeceased by a son, Daniel Fournier who died in 1990. Family members include his son, Michael Fournier of Goffstown; his daughter, Mrs. Edward (Janice) Stefanik of Manchester; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Roger Fournier of Claremont; four sisters, Yvette Poulette of Manchester, Betty Conley of PA; Pauline Gagnon and Florence St. Jean both of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in St. Pius Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
