Valerie E. Morency, 83, of Manchester died suddenly on October 25, 2005 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home. Valerie was born on June 17, 1922 in Suncook the daughter of Francois and Marie (Bosse) Gagnon. She had been a Manchester resident most of her adult life. She met and married the late Lucien J. Morency who died in 1988. The couple spent over 45 wonderful years together. They enjoyed motorcycling and throughout the years had taken many road trips on their Honda motorcycle. Many memorable occasions had been spent camping with their children. She and her husband frequently traveled to Florida in their RV during the winter months. They also explored a majority of the Eastern Seaboard. Valerie was a loving homemaker who cherished her time with her family. She will be missed dearly by her many good friends and caretakers at Mt. Carmel. Family members include; one son, Jean L. Morency of Nashua; one daughter, Ms. Stella Cannain of Frenchville, Maine; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Anna Desrosiers of Alpharetta, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Valerie was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street. Funeral Services will be celebrated on Friday afternoon at one oclock at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, 235 Myrtle Street with burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
