NORTH HAVERHILL, NH Vance A. Cummings, 87, passed away on March 27, 2005 at the Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH.
Vance was born a son to George W. and Ada (Davis) Cummings, on October 24, 1917 in Winchendon, MA.
Vance served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a past member of the Masons and was employed by Whitchers Sawmill until his retirement.
Surviving family members include six step-children, Pauline Conkey of Plymouth, NH; Loretta Paige-Berry of St. Johnsbury, VT; Mike Landon and wife, Janet, of Lancaster, NH; Shannon Landon and significant other, Carl Marsh of Lisbon, NH; Geri Lapre and husband, Phil, of Holderness, NH; and Valerie Landon of Littleton, NH; 13 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. His wife, Gloria P. Cummings predeceased him in 1986.
SERVICES A Graveside Service will be held in the Groton Cemetery in Groton, NH at a later date.
