Vasilios "Billy" Lazos, aka the Greek aka the Pizza Man, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Concord Hospital, in Concord, NH.
Born in Grevena, Greece on November 25, 1958, the son of Dimitrios and Erofili (Chrisohou) Lazos. Vasilios graduated from Aero technical Institute in 1979, in Thessaloniki, Greece. He then served in the Greek Air Force from 1979 until 1981. He immigrated to Haverhill, MA in 1983 with the help of his close uncle, Nicholas Lazos. He made his way up to Loudon, NH in ’87 where he met “the most beautiful woman he had ever seen” his future wife, Sandra. His passion for pizza and love drove him to be a driven and helpful man to many. Whether it was donating to the community, supporting someone in need, or just making you smile. He was happy to help. Billy was a one of a kind man.
He leaves behind his wife and soulmate of over 30 years, Sandra (Lemay) Lazos, their son, Dimitrios Lazos, their daughter, Erofili (Lazos) Roesel and son-in-law Alex Roesel. His sister, Stamatia and her husband, George Chaitas, his niece, Martha and nephew Vasilios. Dearest god-daughter, Anna Vatalachou, her father Andreas Vatalachou and family. His brother at heart, Christopher Vetos and his family, cousins Jim and Kallopi Samardelis. His greatly appreciated cousin, roommate, best man and physician all wrapped in one, George P. Meltsakos for his patience, care, guidance and support, as well as all his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that became family along the way “uncles and cousins”.
