Venice Farmakis

Venice Farmakis, 72, of Hooksett, NH, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2022 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. She was born on April 28, 1950 in Somerville, MA to the late Nicholas & Stella (Hadjiandonakis) Farmakis.
 
Those who knew Venice will remember a generous, caring and selfless sister, aunt and friend to many, who had a big heart and a loving soul. Venice loved listening to Jazz music, traveling (especially to Greece) making her famous spanakopita, and her beloved cat Seasons. She was an extremely hard worker who excelled at whatever she put her mind to, but more importantly, she loved her family and friends the most. Those who were blessed to know her will dearly miss her smile and friendly presence, and she will be especially missed this Thanksgiving, a holiday that she loved dearly.
 
Faith was a pillar of strength in Venice's life, as she was a devout follower of her Greek Orthodox faith. She had a close relationship with her parish priest Fr. Gregory Trakas, a friendship for which she was eternally grateful.
 
Venice is survived by her sister, Beatrice Magliozzi; sister, Marilyn and her husband Bob Doucette; brother, Ted and his wife Karen Farmakis; nieces: Renee, Christina, Michelle & Tiffany; nephews: Mark, Matthew and Charles; as well as cherished extended family and friends.
 
Venice's family would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to the excellent nursing staff at Catholic Medical Center for their wonderful care of Venice during her time there.
 
A visitation for Venice will take place on Tuesday, November 22 at 10:30 AM at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church at 111 Island Pond Rd. Manchester NH. A funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM.
