VERNARD "RED" LANDRY
ST. JOHNSBURY, VT â Vernard "Red" Landry, 93, formerly of Dalton, NH, passed away on March 5, 2015 at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center.
Red was born on February 3, 1922, a son to the late Venerand Benjamin Landry and Mona Mae Harriman of Dalton, NH.
He was honorably discharged veteran who proudly served his country as a member of the Seventh Division United States Army in the Mediterranean and European Theaters of World War II. Red was the Owner and Operator of a salvage business for many years, fondly known as Red's Junk Yard, on Harriman Road in Dalton, NH. He was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses, Lancaster, NH Congregation.
Surviving family members include his niece, Mona Lee Bacon Bell and William Wheeler of Flovilla, GA; great nieces and nephews, Heather Bell Young and James, Holly Leigh Bell, Aaron Bell, William Wheeler and Deidra, Derek Wheeler, and great-great nieces and nephews of Georgia. Red was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Marjorie Helen Rodgers, and his sister, Vera Alice Bacon Wentworth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Employee Appreciation Fund, St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation, 1214 Hospital Drive, St. Johnsbury. VT 05819.
SERVICES â A Graveside Service will be held in the Cushman Cemetery in Dalton, NH on June 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
