Victor V. Labrie

Victor Labrie, 83, a resident of Bedford, NH, died Aug 10, 2012 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford, NH surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Arvida, PQ. Canada on September 10, 1928. He was the son of Adelard Labrie and Marie Louise (Dicaire) and was raised and educated in Arvida, Canada. He met his wife, Jeanne D'Arc Landry in Montreal, Canada. They were married for 25 years and were divorced later on. She passed away in Canada December 20, 2011.
He moved from Arvida to Montreal and then in 1968 moved to Lawrence, MA. He later relocated to Manchester in 2002 with his family.
He was a self-employed Stone Mason. Victor took great pride in his work, he was always happy to show and discuss his work. He loved to tend to his gardens and had a love of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, trapping or just a walk in the woods to go berry picking with the grandchildren. He enjoyed life and enjoyed his family and was always there with a smile or joke.
He was also a faithful communicant of the Catholic Church. He was a retired member of the French Social Club in Lawrence, MA, a retired member of the Knights of Columbus & Alhambras.
Family members include 2 children, Micheline Paris and her husband John of Manchester, NH., and Jean-Yves Labrie and his wife Mary, of Manchester, NH; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; extended family as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
An hour of gathering will be held Monday, August 13th at 1:00pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00pm in the funeral home.
