Victor "Vic" Plante

Victor “Vic” Plante died on March 19, 2025. Born in Dunham, Québec, on January 5, 1935, he lived a long and happy life.

Victor and his family immigrated to Manchester, New Hampshire, from Québec, Canada, in 1969 for work opportunities. His passion was working as a master mechanic specializing in heavy equipment, to which he devoted most of his career. He had a great sense of humor, was a fascinating storyteller (raconteur), and an avid reader. Victor was very charitable and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Manchester, New Hampshire. Of utmost importance to him was his family.

Victor was predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Hélène. He leaves behind his five children, Jocelyne Pinsonneault and husband Marc; Christiane Ackerson, D.A. and husband Peter; Jacques Plante and wife Chantal; Joseph Plante and wife Jacqueline; Anissa Plante and husband Robert Sitar; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one on the way. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and lifelong best friends, Mr. Yvon and Mrs. Huguette Noiseux and their family, Sylvain and Patrick, who had immigrated to New Hampshire with the Plante family.
