Violet Provencher, 72, of 379 Huse Road, died at her home January 30, 2000, after a long illness. She was born in Dunbarton on August 24, 1927, the daughter of Frederick and Orilda (Barbeau) Paris and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. She was the former co-owner and operator of Jewett Street Market. A Member of St. Anne Sodality and was an avid knitter leaving many of her good works behind for her family to enjoy. She retired from Velcro USA. Family members include her husband of 53 years, Arthur F. Provencher, Sr., her two sons, Arthur F. Provencher, Jr., and Roger A. Provencher, her two grandsons, David and Roger Provencher, all of Manchester, her brother, Robert Paris of Pindardville, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony Church Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Entombment will be in Mount Calvary Mausoleum in the American Saints Chapel.
