Violette M. Bouley, 94, of Cape Coral, Florida, succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease peacefully on January 19, 2025. She was the wife of late Leo A. Bouley, who was the love of her life for almost sixty years.
Vi is survived by her three sons, John, Tom, and Rick, her sister, Cecile, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Vi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and a strong woman. Her kind-heartedness and caring personality will live on for generations to come.
Vi loved bird watching, and especially adored cardinals and hummingbirds. She worked as a pediatric nurse at CMC for many years, and fulfilled her dream of retiring in Florida. She spent her free time baking her famous Fourth of July cake and making rhubarb jelly. Vi enjoyed making puzzles, and playing cards, bocce, and bingo almost every day. On the weekends you could find her in church as she would never miss a weekend mass. Vi was a true inspiration and example of how love can endure.
A special thank you to the staff at Hope Hospice and Palmview Assisted Living in Florida for their loving care and support.
Visitation and funeral services will be held privately at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium. Vi will be laid to rest at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made by check to the GCV Foundation, 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33991 with ‘Palmview’ in the memo field.
