Virgina Genevieve Mitoulas, born on December 22, 1937, in Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026. Virginia grew up in Bedford, later moving to Hooksett where she lived for over 40 years.

While her son was in school, Virginia worked at Fotomat where she thrived. She had many regular customers and developed many great friendships in her time there.

Virginia had a passion for nature, loving all creatures big and small. She selflessly donated to the ASPCA, Peta, and National Audobon Society to do her part in helping animals. She also loved to feed the birds and other animals that lived around her home, which brought her immense joy. Virginia also had a green thumb and would spend countless hours tending to her flower garden. In her downtime, Virginia would often find herself at the library, where she could relax and lose herself in her favorite books.

Virginia is predeceased by her parents; Stanley Irzyk and Alice Green, and her sister; Alice Freemantle.

She is survived by her lifelong partner; Gerald Hoyt, her son Scott Mitoulas; her daughter Gina Mitoulas and her parter Matthew Allen, her grandchildren; Tanya, Tom, whom she loved like a grandson, Crystal, and Robyn, her four great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchild.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00pm – 4:00pm on April 1, 2026 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester, NH.
