Vivian Margaret Villemure, 84, of Manchester, NH passed away at home on August 10, 2024. Born in Manchester on May 25, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Armand and Yvonne (St. Cyr) Villemure.
Vivian attended St. Anthony High School and the Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She later earned her BSN from St. Anselm College. She worked as a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital, Elliot Hospital and later Catholic Medical Center, retiring in 1999. She was a proud United States Air Force Veteran of over seven years and served as a staff nurse in Vietnam and Turkey. She was a member of the Granite State Ambassadors, the Franco-American Center, American Legion, VFW, and Catholic War Veterans. She was a devoted volunteer at the Palace Theater for more than 30 years.
Vivian is survived by her brothers, Gerard Villemure of Manchester, NH and Richard Villemure of Independence, MO, her cousin, Gail Ayotte of Manchester, NH, and her nieces, Shirley Lyle of Pinehurst, ID, Mary Mayes of Raymore, MO, Debbie Gamble of Lee’s Summit, MO and Nancy Ellis of Fremont, NE.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 15th from 5-7PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 16th at 10:00AM at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester, NH. Private burial at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery.
