Vonna Jean (King) McCloskey, 79, of Manchester, NH died January 5, 2011 at Maple Leaf Health Care Center in Manchester following a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 4, 1931 in Knoxville, TN the daughter of the late Roy J. and Dollie E. (Dwilla) King. She grew up in Indiana and later moved to New Mexico. She was a resident of Manchester area for the past 5 years.
She worked for Sandia Corporation in Albuquerque, NM in the 1960âs and early 1970âs as a draftsperson doing printed circuit board work. Some of her work was used on the Apollo moon landing missions. She had also worked for Harris Digital Telephone systems.
Vonna enjoyed painting was a collector of art.
In Her Life: She is survived by her son, Matthew McCloskey of Auburndale, MA; granddaughter, Madison Grace McCloskey; brother, Bob King of California and several nieces and nephews.
Her Memorial Gathering will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00PM.
