W. Eugene (Gene) Garlichs, Jr., 81, passed away on June 23, 2018.
Born April 26, 1937 in Harrisburg, PA the son of W. Eugene Garlichs, Sr. and Dorothy (Elder) Garlichs, Gene graduated from Milligan College in Tennessee. Initially starting his career in teaching English in Kingsport, TN and then Groveton, NH, he continued his career in Manchester, NH at the Concentrated Employment Program in the 60s and 70s.
Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Malissa W. (McKinley) Garlichs, Gene is survived by his 2 daughters, Leah A. (Garlichs) Noe of Oriental, North Carolina and Heidi J. (Garlichs) McDuffee of Merrimack, NH, 2 grandchildren, Philip D. McDuffee and Hayleigh M. McDuffee; and his 2 sisters, D. Louise (Garlichs) Burnette and Ethyln A. Garlichs both of Lake City, FL.
Memorial service to be held Thursday, July 26th at 6pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF), Winning the Case Against Cruelty, 525 East Cotati Avenue, Cotati, CA 94931.
