Watson Keith ("Keith") Greenstreet, 87
Passed peacefully at his home in Manchester, NH, surrounded by his family and friends.
Keith was born in Chambers, Nebraska on May 26th, 1924 to Oscar and Elsie Greenstreet. Not content to simply work on the family ranch, he later attended the University of Nebraska where he met his wife Monna of 63 years and received his BA in Business.
His studies were interrupted by his induction into the US Naval Service on June 28th, 1944. He was discharged honorably less than a year later on May 17th, 1945.
After college he started work for the local New Hampshire Insurance Group (now AIG) office in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. He quickly rose through the ranks and during the summer of 1963 his entire family was relocated to the company's home office in Manchester, NH. He ultimately rose to the second-highest post in the company.
Always one to give back to his community, he shared his business acumen by serving many years as chairman of the Manchester Visiting Nurse Association.
After retiring from AIG, he went on to become a very successful real-estate agent and investor. But his true calling was operating SuperTix, a ticket business located on Elm Street, which he ran from 1990 to 2008. It was the perfect business for him because it was risk-based and very interactive. And he liked nothing better than negotiating and putting deals together.
Keith was also very active outside of the business world as an avid skier and runner. A lifelong Cornhuskers fan, he also loved the Patriots. Other pastimes were collecting antique cars and spending summers on Lake Kanasatka.
He is survived by his wife Monna and three children John, Carol, and Steve.
A graveside service will be held in the chapel at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at 1 PM Friday December 23rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brookside Congregational Church, Manchester, NH.
