Walter F. Johnson

Walter F. Johnson, 71, of 55 Amory Street, died February 17, 2009 at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Manchester on March 23, 1937, the son of Elmer and Florence (Welch) Johnson and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He was a roofer by trade. He was an avid fisherman. Family members include a son, Allen Johnson of Manchester; two grandchildren; three sisters, Lucy Scarbrough of FL, Marion Hebert and Doris Engheben both of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A graveside committal service is scheduled for later this spring in Bedford Center Cemetery. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester is in charge of arrangements.
