Walter E. Luczko, 85, of 26 Tirrell Hill Road, Bedford, died July 3, 2003, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home. He was born in Manchester, NH on September 8, 1917, the son of William and Anna (Olszanska) Luczko and had been a resident of Manchester for most of his life.He was WW II Army Veteran, was a member of the Labor Union 668, and the VFW Post 2860 of Suncook. Mr. Luczko was retired from Davidson Construction Company. He played semi-pro baseball with the Alpine, Salvage-Malloy and J.F. McElwain. Walter was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. Family members include his wife of 56 years, Florine (Beaulieu) Luczko of Bedford, several nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Sunday from 5 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to the VNA, Home Hospice, 1850 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
