Walter D. Rideout

Walter D. Rideout, 61, of 375 Lowell St., died November 2, 2001 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover. He was born in Quincy, MA on April 7, 1940, the son of Robert Rideout of Stoughton, MA and the late Beatrice Rideout. He had been a Manchster area resident for over 30 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He had been a machinist for a number of years. He had also been employed by the American Red Cross as a disaster leader. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. Family members, in addition to his father, include his wife of 24 years, Rose (Tutor) Rideout; three children from a previous marriage; three step-sons, Robert Nicoli of Bradford, MA, Jerry Nicoli and Kevin Nicoli, both of Manchester; eight grandchildren and eight grandchildren; three sisters of MA; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. After cremation, a memorial gathering will take place on Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 3 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
