Warren D. Liberty, Jr., 83, of Washington, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Westwood Center, Keene, surrounded by his loving family following a lengthy illness.
Born in Burlington, VT, he is the son of the late Warren D. Liberty, Sr. and Loleta (Auclair) Liberty.
An honorably discharged veteran, Warren proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War. Following his military career, he was employed as a carpenter at Indian Head Millwork for many years prior to retirement. Before relocating to Washington, NH in 2000, Warren was a lector, cantor, and grounds keeper at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Merrimack.
A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Warren was the pillar of strength for his family. A member of ActorSingers, Warren shared his voice with his family, friends, and church congregation. Warren will be best remembered for his kind heart and love of family.
Warren is survived by his wife, Maria A. (Ramirez) Liberty; one son, Keith Liberty and wife Lori; three daughters, Kathleen Hibbard and John, Kimberly Holland and husband Henry, and Kelley Liberty; daughter-in-law, Gretchen Liberty; nine grandchildren, Adam, Nathan, Raithe, Breanna, Meghan, Coriann, Sara, Mike, and Jonathan; five great grandchildren, Abby, Lily, Harper Rose, Cayden, and Alana; several cousins in Vermont and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Warren was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley (Tibbets) Liberty; son, Warren D. Liberty, III; sister, Stella Turmel; brother, Carl Liberty; and grandson, Joseph.
ARRANGEMENTS: His Visitation will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 172 King St., Boscawen, on Thursday, May 3, from 11:00A.M. to 12:00P.M. followed by his Funeral Service at 12:00P.M. Warren will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen at 1:30P.M. Friends and relatives invited.
