Wendy E. Richards

Wendy E. Richards, 74, of Barefoot Bay, Florida died unexpectedly May 10, 2023, at her home.

She was born February 12, 1949, in Lawrence, Mass, the daughter of George Richards and Laura (Early) Richards.

Wendy graduated from Andover High School in 1968. Following high school, she held various clerical positions at PSNH and Granite Group.  She retired from the State of NH in 2015 after working for over 10 years in clerical roles.

Prior to living in Florida, she was a resident of Concord/Penacook, NH area where she was the President of the Contoocook River Improvement Society for many years.

She was a determined individual spending many years building a wooden paddle wheeler (The River Lady) that still floats the river today!

Wendy was an avid pool player, winning several championships in both NH and Florida. She loved to be bare foot, water ski, take cruises and travel.

Wendy was a devout Catholic and attended church faithfully. Her true love though, was her family. She is survived by her father George Richards of Barefoot Bay Florida, her brother Steve Richards of Concord, NH, her son Shane Demers, and wife Cindy of Antrim, NH, her daughter Kerry Aubertine, and husband Jeff of Concord, NH, her daughter Melissa Yeo, and husband Brian of Penacook, NH.  She had 8 grandchildren Mike, Jennica, Jacob, Kaela, Bailey, Riley, Joshua, Bella and two great grandchildren Ava and Kendal.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 4pm to 7 pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street, Boscawen, NH 03303. Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish at 9 Bonney St, Penacook, NH at 10am on May 24, 2023, followed by a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Penacook.
