Wilfred T. Brunette, 80, of 51 Belgrade Street, died August 3, 2007 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on April 6, 1927, the son of Oscar A. and Yvonne (Henault) Brunette and had been a resident of Wear for over 50 years before moving back to Manchester four years ago. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He had worked for Foster Grant NYCOA for over 40 years until his retirement. During that time, he had been shop steward of the union. He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence Church in Goffstown for many years and most recently belonged to St. Anthony Church. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a coin collector and in his later years, enjoyed playing Texas Holdem. He will be remembered for always helping out people. In His Life: Family members include his wife of 57 years, Rita (Marquis) Brunette; four sons, Ted Brunette and his wife Marquerite of Manchester, Denis Brunette and his wife Shirley of Hooksett, Keith Brunette and his wife Sue of Goffstown, and Glen Brunette; three daughters, Dolores Stribling and her husband Wayne, Diane Brunette and Lisa Brunette, all of Manchester; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Leo Brunette of Manchester and Rene Brunette of Northport, FL; a sister, Dorothy Loughlin of Bedford; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, George Roberts and by a sister, Jeannette Cushing. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
