William “Bill” Chauvette 70, of Goffstown, NH, passed away after a brief illness on December 7th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 9th, 1951 to the late Donald & Annette (Chaput) Chauvette, and would go on to marry his best friend and love of his life, Jacqueline Fournier, with whom he shared over 51 years of marriage.
Bill was born and raised on the West Side of Manchester, NH and has always had a wide network of friends and family there. Bill retired from the city of Manchester after working there for 26 years. He then worked for Continental Paving for 18 years before fully retiring in 2018 to enjoy every day as a Saturday.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Bill will remember a loyal, easy going, family-oriented man who would do anything he could for the people he loved. He always loved going on cruises with his wife Jacqueline, especially to escape the New Hampshire cold. He also enjoyed driving his side by side and watching NASCAR. Above all else, Bill loved his family immensely, and was always happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.
Bill is survived by his wife Jacqueline; daughter Joanne Wilson and her husband Scott; son Kevin Chauvette and his wife Stacey; son Keith Chauvette and his fiancée Melissa Voisine; daughter Jodie LaBossiere; sister Denise Roy and her husband Bob; sister Michelle Shaw; sister Francis Callison and her husband Kenny; brother Dennis Chauvette and his wife Sue; grandchildren Melissa, Monique, Nichole, Abigail, Tyson, Bailey & Victoria; great-grandchildren Chase, Khailani, Brayden & Jaelyn; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Calling hours for Bill will be held on Monday, December 13th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 250 Coolidge Ave. Manchester, NH. He will be laid to rest at the Mt. Calvary Mausoleum immediately afterwards.
In Bill’s memory, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
