WILLIAM T. BUTLER, JR.
BEDFORD â William T. Butler, Jr., 94, died on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at the Carlyle Place, in Bedford.
Mr. Butler was born on September 5, 1916, in Boston, MA, the son of the late William T. and Nora (Carter) Butler, Sr. He was a resident of NH for the past 3 years. Prior to this, he resided in Wakefield, MA for 60 years.
He was a World War II veteran and served in the United States Army. Prior to his passing, he received the Bronze Star and other medals for his service to his country.
Mr. Butler was employed as a manager and worked at the Division of Employment Security, in Massachusetts.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Butler liked gardening and handyman work.
Members of his family include; his wife of 49 years, Dorothy (OâNeill) Butler, of Bedford; two daughters, Gail McIntyre, of Lansdale, PA; Linda J. Butler, of Litchfield, NH; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday, December 24, from 8:30 AM â 9:30 AM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 9 St. Francis Way, in Litchfield. Committal prayers and military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Bedford.
