William "Bill" Arthur Carignan of Manchester passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 9, 2014.
Bill was born in Manchester on February 1, 1946, son of the late Charles R. and Arlene (Beaulieu) Carignan. He attended schools in Manchester. Bill joined the Army National Guard in 1964 and served his country with honor during the Vietnam conflict in 1968. He worked in the food delivery industry, first for Schonland's and later for Drakes Cakes.
Bill married Gaetane "Gaye" Sylvain, his high school sweetheart, on July 1, 1967. They were blessed with three daughters; Lynn, Patricia and Laura. Bill enjoyed boating, camping and fishing, though his first priority was spending time with his girls. He was always known as the life of the party.
Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gaye Carignan; daughters, Lynn and her husband, Tom Cavagnaro of Goffstown, Patricia and her husband, Chris Autenrieth of Hooksett and Laura and her husband, Charles M. Ploss of Merrimack; grandchildren, Kyle and Kaylee Cavagnaro, Alex and Hannah Autenrieth and Andrew, Tyler and Owen Ploss; and his sisters Susan and her husband, Albert Pinard of Goffstown and Marlene Carignan. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Carignan.
