William J. Corriveau

William J. Corriveau

William J. Corriveau, Jr., 71, formerly of 620 Front Street, died December 7, 2001 at the Ridgewood Center in Bedford. He was born on May 31, 1930, the son of William and Cecelie (Beauchesne) Corriveau, Sr., and was a lifelong resident of the city. He was educated in the Manchester school system and attended St. Anselm College and Hesser College. We was part owner and President of State Glass Company, Inc. He had worked in the glass business for 43 years as a designer and installed security systems in banks and police stations throughout New England. He was instrumental in designing intensive care units for hospitals. He was an avid golfer for many years and was a member of the Derryfield Country Club and the New Hampshire Seniors Golf Association. He was a member of the Hillsborough County Law Enforcement Association and the New Hampshire Police Association. He belonged to the AARP and was a member of the League of 1000 Men of Precious Blood Monastery. He was a 3rd and 4th degree Knight of Columbus, Council 92, a member of El-Feri Caravan #119 and was their past Grand Commander for the State of New Hampshire. He was also a charter member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and active in many social activities and organizations throughout the State. He was an avid skier. Later in life, he was on the Executive Council for the residents of Ridgewood Center, Genesis Eldercare. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Patrick Church and was the past President of St. Patrick Parish Council. He was also a former Board member of the Catholic Diocese of New Hampshire and a past member of the Catholic Charities City Campaign Drive. He was the widower of Fleurette (Theroux) Corriveau who died in 1996. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Corriveau and by a son, Steven Corriveau. Family memebers include two daughters, Mrs. John (Linda) Gizienski of McAllen, TX and Dawn Champney of Manchester; a son, Gary Corriveau of Manchester; six grandchildren and one great grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Jeannette Felix of Hampton and Mrs. Gordon (Irene) Parkman of Scottsdale, AZ; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
