William Crift, 86, of Bedford, died May 26, 2010 at the Arbors of Bedford. He was born on July 7, 1923, in the Ukraine, the son of Timofej and Anna (Doshko) Crift. He moved to the United States 56 years ago and resided in Ringwood, N J for before moving to Bedford in 2009. He was a World War II Veteran where he fought in the liberation of Warsaw and Berlin. He was an engineer and had worked for Permutit Products for many years until his retirement. He was the widow of Amanda (Terzer) Crift who died in 2006. In His Life: Family members include two sons, Gary Crift and his wife Nanette of Montague, NJ and Timofej Crift and his wife Mareike of Bedford; three grandchildren; Garret Crift of NJ, Marcus Crift and Niklas Crift, both of Bedford; and nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Sunday June 6 from 1 to 2 PM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 PM.
