William T. Demmerle Sr., 83, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Born in Syracuse, NY on September 2, 1934, he was son of the late William and Dorothy (Brooks) Demmerle. He enjoyed 43 years of marriage with his late wife, Geraldine (Widick) Demmerle.
William served in the United States Marine Corps as an aircraft electrician during the Korean War. He was the owner of Barco Sales Company in Bedford from 1977 until his retirement. During his retirement, William enjoyed fishing and boating on Lake Ontario, and spending winters at his home in Titusville, FL.
Survivors include his daughter Linda Demmerle-Tubbs and husband Kevin of Kirkville, NY and their children Christine and Stephen; daughter Sharon Boucher of Manchester, NH and her children Danielle and William; daughter Carol Kolenski of White River Junction, VT and her children Jason and Kyle; son William T. Demmerle Jr. and wife Marcia of Bedford, NH; daughter Robin Demmerle of Syracuse, NY and her children Nicole and Douglas; his brother Robert Demmerle and wife Karen; his sisters Doreen Post and Bonnie Haberer; sister-in-law Janice Demmerle; as well as two great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family members and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, William was predeceased by his brother, Larry Demmerle.
Services: A memorial gathering will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH on Sunday, December 3 at 1pm with a memorial service at 2pm. He and his wife, Geraldine, will be laid to rest at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH on Monday, December 4th at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in William's memory may be made to New Horizons for New Hampshire, PO Box 691, Manchester, New Hampshire 03105.
