William J. Dircks

William J. Dircks, 77, of 467 Bridge St., died April 1, 2001 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford. He was born in New York City, NY on May 13, 1923, the son of William and Veronica (Royal) Dircks and had been a Manchester resident for the past thirty one years. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. For many years, he worked for Foster Beef and Schonlands. Family members include his wife of forty seven years, Cornelia (O'Callaghan) Dircks; a son, William S. Dircks of Manchester; a daughter, Margaret Goff of CA; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. There are no scheduled services. After cremation, inurnment will take place in the columbarium at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, 132 Middle Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
