William James Donnell, III died Thursday October 30, 2014 at his home in New Orleans, LA.
Bill was born on August 15, 1969 in Derry, NH the son of Sandra (Lacopolis) Laffin of Newton, NH and the late William J. Donnell, Jr. He graduated from Sunapee High School Class of 1988.
An amazing and creative chef, Bill worked at Elizabeth's in New Orleans. He had a true passion for cooking and was always experimenting with new recipes.
Bill was a music aficionado, a golfer, a chef, a card player, an activity organizer, a lady's man, a man's man, and a lover of life. He was the hub of a giant wheel of diverse friends. Bill was someone everyone wanted to be around, and he wanted to be around everyone too.
A loyal and dedicated friend, Bill loved life and lived each of his all too brief years to the fullest. Bill's favorite times of the year were Halloween and Mardi Gras, where you'd always find him in costume. Bill also enjoyed a good party, and was often the life of the party. He opened up his home with warmth, hospitality, and fun to anyone visiting him in New Orleans without question.
Besides his mother, family members include his step father, David Laffin of Newton, his sisters Stefanie Donnell and her fiancé Matt Somers of Manchester, Courtney Donnell of Fort Meyers, FL, and aunts, cousins and many friends.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William J Donnell, Sr. in 2013, Ferne Donnell in 2000, and his maternal grandparents Joseph Lacopolis in 2005 and Alexandra Lacopolis in 2012.
Per Bill's wish there will be no formal service. The family will hold a celebration of Bill's life on Sunday afternoon. In lieu of donations, please donate a toy to Toys for Tots.
