WILLIAM FRANK HADLEY
Lisbon, NH William Frank Hadley, age 84, passed away on July 23, 2006 at the Grafton County Nursing Home, as a result of heart related complications
William was born on August 12, 1921, a son to Rodney C. and Eva (Marple) Hadley, in Waltham, MA. He attended high school in Rochester, NH and went on to the University of New Hampshire, studying Agriculture.
He began work in the farming industry and married his wife, Madelene in 1951. They moved to Lisbon in 1955 where they purchased a family farm that they owned and operated until 1985. William was the Town Clerk and Tax Collector in Lisbon for two years. He was a member of the Grange, most recently the Mount Hope Chapter. William was an avid gardener with all types of plants, known to many for his meticulous weed-free vegetable garden.
Bill also enjoyed hooking rugs as well as a passion for mastering woodworking in his spare time.
Surviving family members include his wife, Madelene (Hills) Hadley of 55 years; one son, W. Frank Hadley of Littleton, NH; one daughter, Martha Russell of Keene, NH; one sister, Enid E. Schroeder of St Jose, CA: one grandson, Michael Aaron Russell of Keene, NH; and 14 Nieces & Nephews.
SERVICES A Graveside Committal service will be held on Thursday, July 27th at 10:00 a.m. in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Lisbon, NH, followed by funeral services at the Lisbon Shared Ministry Brick Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lyn O. Winter officiating.
The family suggests donations be made in his memory to the Lisbon Shared Ministry Memorial Fund, Main Street, Lisbon, NH 03585.
