William Michael Looney

William “Billy” Michael Looney, 11, of 624 Douglas Street, died in Chichester on June 12, 2004 along with his uncle, Patrick Looney of Allenstown, as a result of injuries sustained when an automobile struck their motorcycle. Billy was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 26, 1992, the son of Cathy Delisle and William Mark Looney, both of Manchester. He had been a Manchester resident since he was three years old. He currently attended Parkside Middle School where he was completing the sixth grade. He loved to hunt, fish, skateboard, motor cross and to go boating. He always had a smile on his face. Family members, in addition to his mother and father include his maternal grandmother, Barbara Cavanaugh of Manchester and his maternal grandfather, Richard Delisle of Candia; his paternal grandfather and step grandmother, William and Linda Looney of Manchester; his paternal grandmother, Carol Klardie of Manchester; his step father, Peter Hollis of Manchester; two sisters, Ashely Goulson and Sarah Looney, both of Manchester; a step-brother, Michael Hollis of Manchester; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. In his life: He was very proud of his grandfather, William Looney because he was in the Air Force. Billy wanted to one day fly airplanes when he grew up. He had many friends who looked up to him for his ideas and the energy he gave off. His love of life was intense and so was everything he did. He loved to spend time with is family, especially his step father and his uncles. He thought that “they were all cool”. They took him jet skiing, bike riding and ice fishing. His loss has brought tremendous pain to all who knew him and thoughts of him will forever remain with his family. He will be forever young. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will take place on Thursday morning at 10:00 in St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
