William Rice

William passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 11, 2024 at his home in Lisbon, NH. William was born in Littleton, NH to Violet Brown (Hood), where he spent most of his life until later moving to Lisbon, NH. William was a loving father, son, and hard worker.

In October 1985 he met the love of his life, Carlene Jenne and later married her on July 4, 1987. They later had a son, Samuel Rice which he always called his little buddy and spent years raising and in January 2002 he had a daughter, Emily Nicole Rice which he held close to his heart.

During his life he was a professional carpenter working for several carpentry companies in the Littleton, NH area and even owning his own business, WMRS construction. He enjoyed being a chef on the Culinary Team at Cannon Mountain where his passion for cooking came to life and he mostly enjoyed working in the kitchen at the summit of Cannon Mountain. He later left Cannon Mountain to go to work for DCI Furniture in Lisbon, NH where he was a jack of all trades during his employment. He worked at DCI until declining health caused him to retire in January 2022. During his employment he made many friends who he enjoyed working with.

William is predeceased by his mother, Violet Brown of Whitefield, NH.

William is survived by his son, Samuel Rice and daughter in law, Amber Rice of Rumford, Maine, daughter, Emily Rice of Burlington, VT, ex-wife, Carlene Rice of Galax, VA and three grandchildren, Jacklynn, Nathaniel, and Wallace Rice of Belmont, NH.

Per William’s wishes there will be no services held at this time.
