William George Riley, 52, of 37 Pahray Lane, Manchester, passed away October 25, 2002 at the Massachusetts General Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Riley was born in Goffstown on November 12, 1949, the son of the late David Joseph and Laurette Aurore (Rodier) Riley, Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of the Manchester area. William was a graduate of Manchester High School West and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Sweeney Post. Until his illness, William had worked thirty years for General Electric, Aircraft Division in Hooksett. He was a dedicated husband father and was an avid golfer, cyclist, hiker and outdoorsman. Mr. Riley is survived by his wife of 29 years Cynthia L. (Quimby) Riley; two daughters, Samantha Lyn Riley and Lauren Ashley Riley both of Manchester; his mother Laurette Aurore (Rodier) Riley of Manchester; a brother, David Joseph Riley, Jr., of England, three sisters, Barbara Deshaies and Judith Bouchard, both of Bedford and Sandra Ranfos of Manchester; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM with a service to follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at a later date. At the request of the family, flowers will not be accepted.
