William “Bill” Romeo Roberto of Manchester, NH and formerly of Valrico, FL departed this life on November 1, 2022 just short of his 69th birthday.
Bill was born in Atlanta, GA to Mary and Albert (MD) Roberto. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers and Pace University (BA, MA).
Bill spent the majority of his professional life in the field of Respiratory Therapy at St John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, United Hospital in Port Chester NY, Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor, NY and Tampa General Hospital. For the many years prior to his retirement, he was a valued and respected member of the lung transplant team at TGH and the One Breath At A Time Foundation. He was also a certified instructor in tobacco cessation.
He loved sports, especially baseball. He was a lifelong New York Yankees fan and loved the Cinncinnati Bengals and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Bill was a supporter of WMNF radio serving on the Board of Directors and an on-air radio host to an early morning show called “Here Comes the Sun”. During his five year retirement, Bill enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, playing golf, and volunteering at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, NH as a Docent at the Frank Lloyd Wright Houses.
He is survived by Kathy, his loving wife of 43 years, his daughter Kristin (Kenny)Teknus, his daughter Jackie Roberto, his granddaughters, Tenley Epstein and Audrey Teknus, brothers, Albert (Barbara), Douglas, sisters, JoAnn (Jack) Conway, Barbara Jeanne (Lloyd) Ross, and many loving nieces and nephews.
