William Frank Rogier Manchester, NH Age 62 of Bedford, died Tuesday, January 31st at Catholic Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Manchester on November 11, 1943, the son of William L. and Amelia (Swiszcz) Rogier. He graduated from Manchester West High School in 1961 and from Lincoln School of Welding in 1963 and attended the University of New Hampshire. Mr. Rogier was first employed by Davison Construction Company in 1962. He had worked as a patrolman for the Bedford Police Department from 1976 to 1983. He had worked for B A Steel Erectors/Empire Sheet Metal until his retirement in 1994. He was a long-standing member of the 20th Skeet and Sportsmans Club, the Pointers Fish and Game Club, the Hillsboro County Law Enforcement Association, the National Rifle Association and a volunteer for the Special Olympics. Mr. Rogiers family was the center of his life. He was very fond of his Maine Coon cat, Riley. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed nature and was an avid bird watcher. He liked hunting, fishing and skeet shooting, for which he won many awards. He especially enjoyed the annual trips to Sanibel Island, FLA and Ogunquit, Maine. Other interests included gourmet cooking, gardening, clamming and oystering. He enjoyed the company of his many friends. His warm and caring personality combined with his wonderful sense of humor, captured the hearts of many. He has been referred to as someone with a very powerful and positive presence in the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diane J. (Goupil) Rogier of Bedford. Daughter Heather L. Rogier of Bedford. Mother Amelia Rogier of Manchester. Sister Diane Lovejoy of Hooksett. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him.
