WILLIAM L. ROSS
LANDAFF, NH -- William L. Ross, age 87, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at his residence.
William was born on July 2, 1918 in Andover, MA, a son of the late Alexander and Mary F. (Heberton) Ross. He graduated from high school in Andover.
William served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a carpenter and for the 20 years prior to retirement, he was a firefighter for the town of Andover, MA. William was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed picking blueberries.
William is survived by three children; Martha Kolifrath and husband, Dennis, of Landaff, NH; Nancy Kleynen and husband, Louis, of Tewksbury, MA; Clifford Ross and wife, Elizabeth, of Noble, OK; a nephew, Norman Wallace, of Andover, MA; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. A brother, a sister, and a grandchild predeceased him.
SERVICES -- There will be no public calling hours and private family graveside services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Williams memory, to either the Landaff Volunteer Fire Dept. at 23 Albe Rd, Landaff, NH, 03585 or to the North Country Home Health Agency at 536 Cottage St., Littleton, NH 03561.
