William Bill R. Roux, 61, of Manchester died suddenly at home on February 16, 2005. Mr. Roux was born on February 2, 1944 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Charles and Mary (Villemaire) Roux. He had worked at Sylvania for 34 years and retired in 2003. He was a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his children and had volunteered as a Boy Scout leader for his sons troop. In the 1960s, Bill played the base for a band, the Fantasmics. They played venues at local colleges and even cut a record. Family members include; his wife of 34 years, Anne Louise (Martineau) Roux; his daughter, Erica Roux of Manchester; two children from his previous marriage, Jeff Girard of Berlin, NH and Kimberly Bouchard of Goffstown; two grandchildren; five sisters, Dolores Blanchard of Manchester, Roberta Gadefiery of Manchester, Patty Carter of Manchester, Rita Mynahan of Merit Island, Florida and Doris Degin of Gouderneau, New York; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Roux was predeceased by his son, Richard Dicky W. Roux who died in 1988. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Bobby Roux and Paul Gregoire and by one sister, Florence Geroux. In his life: Mr. Roux cherished his two grandsons, Matthew and Nathan Roux of Manchester. He also leaves behind two aunts, Lorraine Villemaire of Groveton, NH and Betty Knot of Littleton. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM with a Candlelight Service at 8:30 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Puis X Church with burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
