William E. Seppala passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016. He was born in Brattleboro, VT on May 1, 1922.
William served in the US Navy during WWII as a Petty Officer 1st Class Signalman. He was married to Violet (Wojchick) for 72 years. He enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and hunting. Family was most important to him. His proudest accomplishment was that all four of his children have been married for 47-48 years to the same spouses.
William only completed the 10th grade, but worked hard all his life. He was employed at A.G. Spaulding, Dunham Brothers Cotton Mill, American Optical and finally the US Post Office in Brattleboro for 30 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Violet Seppala; three daughters, Judith Monroe and her husband Stuart of Hinsdale, NH, Barbara Simeon and her husband Thomas of E. Dummerston, VT and Jo Bailey and her husband Philip of Vernon, VT; a son, Thomas Seppala and his wife, Linda of Brattleboro; 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild on the way.
The family will have a private committal service at a later date.
